Connolly Associates are pursuing patents to:

1) Prevent oil leaking from a ship. This lightweight external hull patch, designed to be quickly depolyed by an on-board crew, could also prevent the sinking of a military ship suddenly holed by an explosion.

2) Prevent oil leaking from a damaged subsea pipe or blowout preventer.
